Now that was a fight! As is Battlebots tradition, whenever a member from one Battlebots team leaves to become captain of their own robot, they must fight their previous team at some point in their first season. Our 2019 teammate Bunny came to Battlebots 2020 with her own robot, Malice, who we took on this past week in our second fight of the season. To clear up any confusion: there is absolutely no bad blood between us. Bunny has been part of the robot scene long before Shatter! was even a flicker of an idea. We're so happy she was able to captain her own team this season, she really deserves some time in the spotlight herself after being a part of other teams for so long.

For our first fight of the 2020 season, we were excited to be matched up against a returning veteran team, and former semi finalist, Ghost Raptor! 2020, what a year, eh?

It's been a while since we last made a post. As you probably know, Battlebots was intended to be filmed back in April, and we were hard at work in March getting Shatter! 2020 ready. Then, the world came to a halt. Covid-19 changed everything, Battlebots included. Shatter! was stuck at Adam's office, off limits according to city regulations. Battlebots was indefinitely postponed. New York City was hit hard by the pandemic and it was not a good time for anyone.

But! Battlebots 2020 did get filmed in October, it's premiering this Thursday on Discovery, and we were there with Shatter! 2020 in all its glory, putting on the best Battlebots seasons yet (as safely as we could).

For our final regular-season fight we got matched up against the Bull from Brazil himself, Minotaur! It was quite the honor to be put up against a team as well respected as Riobotz, and even if they hadn't been having the best season in 2019, Minotaur is one of the fiercest bots in the competition. We just got back from Battlebots 2019! What a journey! It's been a long 3 years in the making, but we finally made it to Battlebots, a real dream come true.
